Decisions and protocols concerning health and safety regarding COVID-19 (coronavirus) made by Trinity Academy of Irish Dance are in conjunction with the support of volunteer professionals from many different disciplines as well as recommendations made by the World Health Organization (WHO), Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and local health professionals.
These measures have been taken to keep all of our dancers, families, and staff as safe as possible. We are confident that our health and safety protocols will help us move forward in the best interest of the entire Trinity Family.
Expectations of Trinity’s Staff & Teachers
-
-
Maintaining a maximum number of dancers as determined by local restrictions and studio size (ensuring all dancers and teachers will be able to properly socially distance), with floors taped off to accommodate social distancing
-
Lining dancers up 6 ft apart outside the studio door
-
Temperatures will be taken by the teacher at the door and parents will be asked to take a dancer home if they have a temperature of over 100.4.
-
Entrances and exits will be clearly marked
-
We will have time between classes for cleaning and to avoid groups of dancers crossing paths. Teachers or volunteers will sanitize all surfaces after each class
-
Teachers will wear masks, have their temperatures taken prior to entering the studio, and be required to wash hands/use hand sanitizer between all classes
-
Doors and windows will be kept open wherever possible to increase airflow
- Upon receiving notice of a positive case, Trinity will notify all of the classes who were potentially exposed to the dancer or the dancer’s specific teachers. Those specific classes will revert to virtual lessons for two weeks.
- The teachers who came into contact with the dancer will be tested as soon as possible to narrow the scope of our contact tracing efforts
-
Expectations of Trinity’s Dancers & Parents
-
Families will be required to sign a waiver before their first in-studio class, which can be accessed at the Trinity Families website
-
If your dancer, family members, or anyone you’ve come in contact with has not been feeling well, please keep your dancer home.
-
If you’ve traveled to a location on Chicago’s Travel Quarantine List, please do not attend an in-studio class for 14 days upon your return
-
Dancers should go to the bathroom before class to avoid using the studio bathrooms, but they will be available for one dancer at a time if needed.
-
Wait in the car until your class time, at which point your dancer will line up 6 ft apart outside the studio door. You will be sent any studio-specific instructions about where to line up and enter studios.
-
Remain in your car in the parking lot until your dancer is cleared at the temperature check station. If your dancer’s temperature exceeds 100.4, you will need to take your dancer home.
-
Parents and families will not be allowed inside the studio/hallways at this time, with the exception of the parent volunteers who will be enhancing safety procedures
-
Dancers must arrive in masks and keep their mask on at all times – dancers will be able to step outside to take their mask off if needed at any point during class
-
Dancers should bring only what they need in their bag (shoes, water bottle, hand sanitizer, mask) and all items should be marked with their name
- Notify Trinity immediately via the Trinity Families website if your dancer who is attending in-studio classes tests positive for COVID-19 or comes in close contact with someone who has positive test results
